Quick Cinnamon Rolls
Two cups
flour
1/4
teas. baking powder
1/2 teas salt
2
tablespoons Crisco
3/4 cup milk
Filling-1/2 cup Crisco,
1 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon,
1 egg yolk
Sift dry
ingredients,work Crisco, stir in just enough milk
to moisten mixture: roll it out on a
floured board to 1/4 inch thick, spread
with filling mixture, Finely chopped (nuts, raisins or others may be
used for filling) roll up and cut into
1/2 inch thick: Place cut edge down in a
deep baking pan rubbed with Crisco.
Bake in a moderate oven 350 degrees
farenheit,15 minutes.
Cream Crisco with sugar
and cinnamon, add egg yolks.

Swedish Coffee Cake
One quart luke warm milk
1 cake
Fleishman's yeast
6 eggs
1/2 pound melted butter
1 1/2
teas. ground cardenion seed
2 1/2 c sugar
1 teas
salt
Flour
Make a
sponge of the milk.
half c sugar, salt, yeast, and flour enough to make smooth
sponge, let raise 2 hours in a warm place, and add remaining
ingredients; add enough flour to prevent any sticking to your
hands. Let stand and raise until it reaches the top of the pan.
Braid and make into rings. Put into greased pans in a warm
place, and let raise again; beat 1 egg with 2 teas. sugar &
spread the tops. Sprinkle little sugar before placing in oven.
Place in moderate oven and bake as you do bread.

Sunshine Cake
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c water
6 eggs beaten separately
1 c flour
1/2
teas
cream of tartar
Boil sugar and water until it threads, pour into
stiffly beaten egg whites. beat until cool then add well
beaten egg yolks. Sift flour and cream of tartar. Bake in an angel food
pan 50 minutes in a slow oven.
